FAQ

Which parrot species are supported?
There are no species restrictions, so any parrot can use BuddyBird.
Do I only need a phone?
Yes. Install the app and place your phone near the cage. It runs the word lessons and listens to your parrot through the phone’s mic. No other device or equipment is needed.
Does it work while I’m away?
Yes. For the time you set, it alternates learning and rest, repeating your words. Meanwhile it records your parrot’s sounds through the mic and shows them in the report.
Can I check on progress while I’m out?
Yes. Leave a spare phone by the cage, and you can follow the report live from another phone signed in to the same account.
How much does it cost?
It’s free for now. If that changes, we’ll introduce a monthly subscription and let you know.
Can I connect with other parrot owners?
A leaderboard and a feed are planned, so you can see how other owners’ parrots are doing and share progress.
